WHAT ARE MANTRAS ?

How to practice them for individual spiritual welness ?

Mantras are repetitive sounds used to penetrate the depths of the unconscious mind and adjust the vibration of all aspects of your being. Mantras are vibrated through chanting aloud, mental practice, or by listening to them. The experience of how sound vibrations effect your being is Naad yoga.

Mantras are mostly syllables, words or phrases in sanskrit related to vedic culture and most often used by hindus to uplift one's spiritual well being through repeated chanting.

Chakras

Hindus believe that human body has got energy centers or Chakras, and that the sound vibrations produced during mantra chanting stimulate and balance these chakras..

Japa

Chanting of the mantra is called "Japa". The mantra can be chanted either mentally or aloud. During internal chanting the object of focuss will be thoughts and when the mantra is chanted aloud, the object of focuss will be the sound.

Some Important mantras from the Vedas

The earliest mantras were composed in Vedic Sanskrit in India. At its simplest, the word ॐ (Aum, Om) serves as a mantra, it is believed to be the first sound which was originated on earth. Aum sound when produced creates a reverberation in the body which helps the body and mind to be calm.
